Life’s too short! We’ve heard it multiple times, but do we follow it? Manzoor is a beautiful track that helps us reflect and highlights the realization again. The song starts with a sardonic yet hopeful tone that introduces us to a man who’s plagued by a terminal illness but decides to live his life to the fullest before starting his treatment. The plot twist happens when he falls in love at first sight. This untimely yet welcome romantic segue makes him crave a little more time and a little more life, which forces him to live in the moment.
Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Manali, the captivating intro music backed by unparalleled cinematography from Sumit Baruah immediately transports you to the alluring call of the mountains and the poignant war cultivating between fate and love amidst the valleys, rivers, and lush greens. Sumit Baruah has captured the expansive scenery of one of the most beautiful places in the world with the brilliant drone shots captured by S Srivatzan, which just adds to the journey and the emotions being experienced by the actors so well. They have literally made the hills a main character in this story of resilience. From the bike shots, and adventure sports sequences to those love-lorn glances, everything contributes significantly to the high emotions of the song.

Abhijit has been the mind behind multiple notable music projects, but his vision and storytelling along with his musical prowess shines brightly in Manzoor. The composition presents an epitome of melody which we can’t seem to get enough of. The song starts with subtle, intriguing tunes keeping the vocals dominant. The song then builds slowly towards the beat drop, which sounds so exquisite you can’t help but a sense of musical satisfaction wash over you. You can clearly witness the composer in him at full glory here.
Personally for us, the whole song is a delight to our auditory senses, but it’s the section with backing vocals that especially feels out of the world. We found ourselves going back to it again and again. It’s so soulful, so inviting and to be honest, it’s almost addictive. The best part, it only gets better when we come across the superimposition of Abhijit’s voice over the continuing backing vocals that give the song a transcendental quality that’s equal parts raw and iconic. Did we tell you already that we are a fan of Abhijit’s wonderful vocals, which are solid throughout the song due to their soothing, invigorating quality?
The essentially Punjabi lyrics by Bhrigu Parashar instantly tug at your heart with their innate romantic poetry that perfectly outlines the strength and perennial nature of true love, which can outrun distance, age, fate, faith, challenges, or any other forces that exist in the realm of the cosmos. He so precisely illustrates how one may consent to let their love go on the surface, but they can never escape nor forget the existence of love that they can see, feel, and imagine anywhere they go!
Aditi looks exquisite on her part and Abhijit complements her pretty well with his act that brings out the mixture of inner turmoil, resilience, love, hope, and pain with such ease. Overall, the song flows as magnificently as the river featured in the video. It might feel like the bungee jumping harness that allows you to explore the exhilaration and depths of true love while assuring that it’s the cosmic connection you feel with love that won’t let you fall.
