Rarely does one encounter love unfolding itself and maturing from the childish innocence and unspoken feelings to sweet confession and lifelong companionship. “Par Na Karoon Main Bayaan” is that ride to nostalgia, through the ballad like symphony weaving Ghazal with as accuracy as incorporating Guitars. Bengali folk, notably Baul, has always been in intricate character within the theme of this song and its blissful use is something too enchanting to resist.

The compassion and delicacy of the tune is what steers this composition away from others. Before getting into the music and the composition of this track, the videography deserves its special recognition. Credits to Echoes and Whistles for weaving a narrative so deeply intertwined with the music that listeners may find themselves preferring to watch the story unfold rather than just listen. The cinematography evokes a sense of nostalgia and warmth, with particular praise for its portrayal of the location as a pivotal character. Bolpur’s rich folk culture, encompassing both music and dance, is vividly portrayed. The heart-warming references of Dotara while she waits on the tea stall and even the folk dance sequence among the natives is to die for.

The music is just composition at its best, all props to Sourav Dey whose range as a composer is boundless. The rich musical arrangements ranging from the guitars and the keyboard to the beautiful flute sections shimmering throughout adds the certain depth required for the melody. However, the vocals really take the center stage with the combination of Aathira Gopi and Hardik Sawhney transporting us into their sweet little world of unspoken longing and camaraderie. Despite the initial impression of sparse or subdued instrumentation, the track does not shy away from orchestral grandeur, particularly noticeable in the scene leading up to the meeting of the two lovers. The highlight of the song is its ending. While the credits roll, a one-minute moment of bliss replays the theme music with such elegance and panache that it leaves a lasting unmissable impression.

Overall a recurrent theme of professing for an unspoken love is shown especially with the help of a Joba Phool, also known as Hibiscus. Truly, one of the finest musical escapades for this month, “Par Na Karoon Main Bayaan” is most obviously getting into you playlist!
