Alan Walker, the Norwegian DJ and producer whose anthems have captivated millions, is gearing up for an extensive India tour in April 2025, with Guwahati set to host the grand kickoff on April 17. This marks a significant milestone as it will be Walker’s first-ever performance in the northeastern city. The tour will then proceed to Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, and Jaipur, bringing his electrifying sound to these cities for the first time.
This strategic expansion follows Walker’s record-breaking WalkerWorld India Tour in October 2024, which spanned nine cities and drew an astounding 160,000+ attendees. The overwhelming success of the previous tour, which included major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Hyderabad, Pune, Shillong, and Chennai, has propelled Walker to push boundaries and explore new territories within India.
The choice to begin in Guwahati highlights a growing trend of international artists venturing into India’s Northeast, a region often overlooked in global tours. “When we saw the overwhelming response to the tour last year, we recognized an opportunity to push boundaries even further,” stated Karan Singh, CEO of Spacebound, the tour’s organizer. “This expansion demonstrates our unwavering commitment to enable access to global talent across India’s diverse regions.”
Walker’s journey from a bedroom producer to a global EDM icon is nothing short of remarkable. His breakthrough hit, “Faded,” has amassed over 3.1 billion views on YouTube, while other tracks like “Sing Me to Sleep,” “Alone,” “All Falls Down,” and “Darkside” have earned him multiple platinum certifications and prestigious awards, including an MTV European Music Award and an iHeartRadio Music Award.
His unique blend of progressive house, 1990s trance, and melodic dubstep has cultivated a dedicated fanbase known as the “Walkers.” Walker’s futuristic, tech-driven performances, coupled with his iconic hooded persona, have made him a recognizable figure in the global EDM scene.
Tickets for the Guwahati show, and the subsequent cities, will be available starting February 28 at 12 PM IST through BookMyShow, with prices beginning at Rs 999. This tour, presented by Absolut Mixers and driven by Hyundai, represents an unprecedented commitment by an international artist to reach audiences throughout India’s diverse regions. Walker’s decision to perform in over 12 Indian cities within just six months sets a new benchmark for global artists engaging with the country’s thriving music scene.
