Gracie Abrams to Receive Hal David Starlight Award at 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala

Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams will receive the Hal David Starlight Award at the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala. Recognized for her impactful songwriting and rising influence, Abrams joins an esteemed list of past honorees. With chart-topping hits and sold-out tours, she continues to make waves in the music industry.

Gracie Abrams will be honored with the prestigi ous Hal David Starlight Award at the 54th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner on June 12 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Created in 2004, the award recognizes young songwriters making a significant impact on the industry. Named after the late Hal David, the honor has previously been awarded to Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and SZA.

At 25, Abrams has already earned two Grammy nominations, including Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Taylor Swift on “Us.” Her sophomore album, The Secret of Us, reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200, featuring hits like “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “That’s So True.”

Songwriters Hall of Fame Chairman Nile Rodgers praised Abrams, stating, “Gracie Abrams is at the forefront of a new wave of songwriters. Her award-winning songwriting, captivating stage presence, and artistic vision set her apart.”

Since debuting in 2019, Abrams has gained recognition for her introspective songwriting. She toured with Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour and headlined her own sold-out The Secret of Us Tour. She also made her Saturday Night Live debut in December 2024, further solidifying her rise.
This year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees include George Clinton, members of The Doobie Brothers, Ashley Gorley, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Mike Love of The Beach Boys, and Tony Macaulay.

Abrams, signed to Universal Music Publishing Group, continues to shape modern pop music with her emotional storytelling and artistic authenticity.
