Lady Gaga’s “Garden of Eden” Revs Up ESPN’s 2025 Formula 1 Season

Lady Gaga’s forthcoming album, “Mayhem,” is making a powerful debut into the world of sports, with her track “Garden of Eden” selected as the anthem for ESPN’s 2025 Formula 1 season. This unexpected collaboration brings Gaga’s electrifying energy to the high-speed world of racing, promising an exhilarating soundtrack for fans worldwide.

Lady Gaga’s unreleased track, “Garden of Eden,” from her highly anticipated album “Mayhem,” is set to ignite the 2025 Formula 1 season as ESPN’s official anthem. Announced on March 5, this unexpected pairing of pop royalty and high-octane racing has generated significant buzz among both music and sports enthusiasts.

ESPN revealed the news through an Instagram video montage showcasing F1’s top drivers and the thrilling spectacle of race cars speeding along the track. “Introducing @espnf1’s anthem for the 2025 season, ‘Garden of Eden’ by the one and only @ladygaga,” the network declared. This announcement also revealed that multiple songs from the “Mayhem” album will feature throughout the F1 season.
A snippet of “Garden of Eden” accompanied the announcement video, giving fans a taste of the electrifying track. “Go get your friends and meet me on the floor,” Gaga sings over a pulsating dance beat and euphoric synths. “Take you to the Garden of Eden/ Poisoned apple, take a bite/ I’ll t-t-take you to the Garden of Eden.” This track, positioned third on the “Mayhem” tracklist, is set to drop in its entirety on March 7, along with the rest of the album.

The 2025 Formula 1 season will officially commence on March 14 with the Round 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix in Australia. ESPN will begin featuring the song in its promotional campaigns leading up to the race, which will be televised on March 15 at 11:55 AM ET.

“Mayhem,” Gaga’s seventh studio album, marks her return after a four-year hiatus and promises a diverse blend of pop and genre-bending sounds. Singles like “Die With a Smile,” her duet with Bruno Mars, which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, “Disease,” and “Abracadabra” have already set high expectations. Gaga has teased that the album “leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt,” while still maintaining a “properly pop” core, appealing to fans of her earlier work.

The partnership with ESPN comes amidst a flurry of activity for Lady Gaga. She recently announced a “¡Viva La Mayhem!” concert in Mexico City in April, followed by a beachside show in Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, she is set to headline Coachella 2025.

ESPN will broadcast all F1 races live in the US on ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC, with practice and qualifying sessions also aired. Selected races and alternate streams will be available on ESPN+. This extensive coverage ensures that fans will have ample opportunities to experience “Garden of Eden” and other tracks from “Mayhem” throughout the racing season.
