The song, rightly named ‘Safar’, essentially has the feel of a journey and right from it’s very first drop, it has the ability to become an earworm. One can’t just get over the hook of fervent rhythm and addictive music. The song gives you the required morning energy feels, enough to give a great start to your day. The groovy music has a foot-tapping rhythm with the right highs and lows.

The lyrics written by Sharmila Ranade were meaningful, effortless and soothing all at once. The lines like ‘Aankhon Mein Aas Rakh Le, Dhoop Jo Nah Ho’ adorn the song. It’s a feel good song with lyrics you want to listen to again and again.

Parikshit’s vocals feel both honey-dipped and invigorating at the same time. The chorus makes you groove and sway as you enjoy it merging with the techno beats of the song. There are layers of both music and vocals and they seem to come together just well.

The song is very indie, and sets a definition for electro-pop music which is the up-and-coming big trend in the Indian music industry. Overall, the song gives a message that we all can travel together to a better world despite the hopeless times. We all can have different journeys, but it’s the hope that binds us all together. ‘Safar’ is beautiful, well created and a great step by Inkk Records in the world of the fledgling Indian electronic music industry.
