Yo Yo Honey Singh’s much-anticipated Millionaire India Tour began with a bang in Mumbai on February 22, marking his triumphant return to live performances after years of battling bipolar disorder and mental health struggles. The rapper, dressed in a striking yellow trench coat, captivated the audience with his high-energy performance, proving that he is back and better than ever.

The concert, held at Nesco Grounds, saw Honey Singh kick off his set with his latest chartbuster, Millionaire, before diving into a medley of his biggest hits, including Brown Rang, Dheere Dheere, Sunny Sunny, and Blue Eyes. The crowd, a mix of young fans and loyalists, sang along to every track, creating an electric atmosphere. Honey Singh, visibly moved by the overwhelming response, expressed his gratitude and vowed to keep the energy high throughout the night.

One of the standout moments of the evening was when Honey Singh paid tribute to music maestro AR Rahman, dedicating Premika to him and calling him his Ustaad ji. He also honored Rajinikanth, hailing him as the “only superstar in the world” before launching into Lungi Dance. The rapper didn’t shy away from acknowledging his close friend, actor Sonakshi Sinha, as he performed Desi Kalakaar, affectionately calling her Asli Sona.

In a heartfelt moment, Honey Singh addressed Diljit Dosanjh’s iconic phrase, Punjabi aa gaya oye, and put his own spin on it. “We Are All Family; We Are One. So, I Won’t Just Say Punjabi Aa Gaya Oye. I’ll Say Punjabi Aa Gaya Oye, Marathi Aa Gaya Oye, Gujarati Aa Gaya Oye, Bihari Aa Gaya Oye, Bengali Aa Gaya Oye, Mallu Aa Gaya Oye… We Are One,” he declared, earning thunderous applause from the crowd. He quickly added, “Respect to Diljit Paaji, he is my brother,” showcasing the camaraderie between the two artists.

However, the evening wasn’t without its share of controversy. Honey Singh took a subtle dig at fellow rappers Badshah and Raftaar, with whom he has had a long-standing rivalry. Without naming them, he said, “Woh kehta hai ki mera comeback nahi ho raha. Aur phir kehte hai ki woh mere gaane likhte the. Aur phir kehte hai woh meri taqdeer likh denge.” The crowd erupted in cheers as he let them complete the final line, which included an abusive slur aimed at Badshah.

The concert was a testament to Honey Singh’s resilience and dedication to his craft. In his Netflix documentary, Famous, the rapper had opened up about his struggles with bipolar disorder, addiction, and the near-collapse of his career. Diagnosed with the condition, he experienced extreme mood swings, psychotic symptoms, and even wished for death daily. His return to the stage was not just a musical comeback but also a personal victory.

The Millionaire India Tour, curated by Stage AajTak, will now head to nine more cities, including Lucknow, Delhi, Indore, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Kolkata. Each stop promises to deliver the same high-energy performances and unforgettable moments that Mumbai witnessed. As the night drew to a close, Honey Singh urged his fans to join him in the remaining cities and flood the internet with videos of his performances. With a powerful Har Har Mahadev, he bid farewell, leaving the audience in awe and eagerly anticipating the next stop on his tour.
